Our Story: A Family Legacy of Love and Loyalty

Brothers Ryan and Scott Maturski grew up in the heart of Pownal, Vermont, after moving to the area as kids in the 1970s. The Green Mountains became their backyard, and the small-town values of hard work, kindness, and community shaped everything they would come to build. Together with their families, they made Southern Vermont their lifelong home — attending local schools, supporting local businesses, and raising the next generation in the same peaceful place they had come to love.

In 2014, Ryan and Tammy Maturski turned their shared love of animals into a vision — to build a pet care business rooted in compassion, quality, and care. They purchased 13 acres of beautiful land in Pownal and worked closely with the town to take care of zoning and permits. With the help of Hos-Cot Frame Builders from Hoosick Falls, NY, they constructed a purpose-built facility designed for the safety, comfort, and happiness of pets. From the very beginning, this business became more than just a business — it was a labor of love, built with heart and a commitment to doing right by every pet and pet parent who walked through the door.
